Lactation & Infant Feeding Team Initial Visit

This appointment is for parents with babies up to 6 months old. Our team can help with issues related to breastfeeding and bottle feeding.

The lactation consultant-pediatrician team will:

  • Review your/your baby’s health history and feeding history

  • Weigh your baby

  • Observe and support you with breastfeeding and/or bottle feeding

  • Assess your baby for any oral restrictions (e.g. tongue-tie), as needed, and provide you with information on how they may affect infant feeding

  • Perform tongue-tie releases for babies up to approximately 4 months old, as needed

  • Create and review with you an individualized care plan based on your feeding goals

A follow-up appointment can be booked at any time after your first visit.

The lactation consultant-pediatrician team will:

  • Reassess your feeding situation

  • Provide ongoing care and revised recommendations as needed, based on your feeding goals

Prenatal Appointment

This appointment is for pregnant people as well as those expecting a baby via gestational carrier or adoption. Contact us to find out the best time to book an appointment for your specific situation.

  • Review your health and pregnancy history

  • Examine your breasts

  • Provide education around infant feeding based on your concerns, needs, and goals

  • Create and review with you an individualized care plan

Pumping Consultation

up to 60 mins

The lactation consultant will:

  • Review your pumping history and goals

  • Trial approximately 2 to 4 different flange sizes with your pump, finding the best fit for comfort and milk removal

  • Explore your pump settings, including suction levels and modes, as needed

  • Discuss pumping-related concerns, such as how long and when to pump, pump cleaning, and milk storage, as needed

You will be provided flanges in your size to take home.

Nutrition & Feeding Support for Older Infants

This appointment is for parents/caregivers of children 6 to 18 months old who have concerns about breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and/or feeding solids.

The dietitian/lactation consultant-pediatrician team will:

  • Review your/your child’s health history and feeding history, as related to your feeding concerns

  • Measure your child’s height and weight

  • Support you with breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and/or feeding solids

  • Assess your child for any oral restrictions (e.g. tongue-tie), as needed, and provide you with information on how they may affect infant feeding

  • Create and review with you an individualized care plan based on your feeding goals
